In consideration of acceptance of this registration by West Northumberland Curling Club (“the club”), I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE the club and each of its members, officers and employees FROM ANY AND ALL claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and cause of action, whether in law or equity in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to myself or property, arising or to arise by reason of my participation in the West Northumberland Curling Club, that has not been contributed to or occasioned by any negligent act, by omission or commission, of any of the aforesaid.
Registration is a multi step process

Step 1: Check off your membership type.
Below is the basic fee structure for WNCC play this year. All fees shown include HST.
1 Social League = $236.00
1 Adult League = $393.00
2 Adult Leagues = $491.00
3 Adult Leagues = $576.00
Learn to Curl course = $85.00
Refundable Volunteer Fee = $80.00 Added to league registration fee. Refunded after volunteer commitment is fulfilled.

Youth 13 - 20 playing in Adult League = $262.00
Adult Member - Regular Leagues & Volunteer FeeAll Adult Members must pay the $80:00 refundable Volunteer Fee
if you are signing up in a league where 4 position boxes are present and you already have a team then put your name in your position and your team members' names in the other boxes. If you do not have other team members then put your name in the position you would like to play and put the word "assign" in the other boxes.
Monday Morning Women: 9:30 am start - Sign up for this league is on an individual basis and the teams are made up by the league convenors. Teams change three times during the season.The Monday Morning Women’s League is for novice to experienced women curlers alike, welcoming new curlers with open arms!
Monday Night Men: 6:30 pm and 8:50 pm startThis league is ideal for novice and experienced curlers alike. If you do not have a team then sign up as an indvidual in the position of your choice and you will be placed on a team - type "assign" in the vacant position boxes. Already on a team - sign up and add your team member's names in the position boxes.
Tuesday Morning Men's Tag: 9:00 am start - Sign up as individuals. Novice and experienced curlers alike are welcome in this league. Player positions rotate every two ends!
Tuesday Night Mixed: 6:30 pm and 8:50 pm startsSign up as a Team, or individually and be placed on a Team. The ultimate WNCC Mixed League. OCA Rules apply.
Wednesday Night Women: 6:30 startSign up as individuals and you will be placed on a different team each draw or sign up as a team for the duration of the season. Get rid of the mid-week stress in this Wednesday Night Women's league - for new and experienced curlers alike.
Thursday Morning Men: 9:00 am and 11:20 am startsSign up individually and get assigned to teams for round robin play - two separate round robin sessions in total. Curlers of all abilities are welcome to join this Men's Day League.
Thursday Night WNCC Open Championship: 6:30 pm and 8:50 pm startsSign up as a team. Individuals wishing to join a team may sign up. The Men's and Women's club champions come from this competitive League.
Friday Morning Mixed: 9:15 am and 11:30 am starts -Open to couples and individuals. The convenor assigns the teams for each of two round robin draws. Individual stats are kept on each curler. After the games players often wine and dine together at a local restaurant!
Friday Night Social Mixed: 5:30 PM Draw Time
Note: This league tends to fill quickly. Sign up as couples or as an individual. This is a good social league for novices and experienced curlers alike. This league curls at 5:30 PM each week.
Friday Night Social Mixed: 7:15 pm and 9:00 pm starts -Sign up as couples or as an individual. Teams are made up by the convenors, although newcomers can be matched with friends if they wish as they get started. This is a good social league for novices and experienced curlers alike.
Sunday Open Recreational Tag: 10:00 am start - 40 players max.Free to curlers registered in at least one other league - otherwise the Social League fee applies. 6 end games starting at 10:00. In this fun league teams are made up from the curlers who show up that day.
Kawartha Seniors League: Open to Men 50 years and older.Please check this box to show your intent to curl in the Kawartha League. You must curl in at least one regular league to be eligible for the Kawartha League. There is a separate nominal fee that will be collected by the convenor at the start of the season.
Ladies Leads and Seconds: Open to women who normally curl lead or second. Please check this box if you want to play in this daytime league. You must curl in at least one regular league to be eligible for the Leads and Seconds League. Your league convenor will collect the nominal fees for this league separately at the start of the season.
Sparing. Please select this option to spare in leagues other than your own. Sparing is free. You may spare in as many leagues as you want, but you must curl in at least one regular WNCC league (i.e. you may not only spare). Also, please make sure you complete the Sparing Information section in the Member Profile section of the web site.
Junior 8 - 20, Sunday LeagueNB - Juniors wishing to curl as a Youth in an Adult League should not register as a Junior. Instead, Youth curlers should complete the Adult League section above and then choose the Youth Play in Adult League option in the Discount section below.
Sunday Juniors: Sundays 12:30 - 2:30 pm.This league runs the entire curling season, focusing on instruction early in the season. Experienced Junior curlers may curl in any regular adult league as Youth Curlers.
Associate members are curlers who are registered with the OCA through other curling clubs and want to curl in OCA events on WNCC teams. Associate members may not curl in WNCC leagues. Please do not select an option from the Additional Registration Options listed below.
Learn to Curl
Select this membership category if you are registering for the Learn to Curl course but are not registering to curl in a league. You may register to curl in a league at any time later by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
Social members may curl in WNCC in-club open bonspiels as well as participate in WNCC social activities and special events. Please do not select an option from the Additional Registration Options listed below.
Below, the Volunteer box is selected for you. Next, select the one (1) box that corresponds to the league selection(s) you made above. Next, select an appropriate locker request box if you want a locker.
Volunteering Returning members are expected to contribute at least 10 hours of volunteer effort (5 hours for new members and snowbirds). The $80 volunteer fee included in your Adult membership is refunded once the volunteer hours are completed.
Friday Night Only Curler - check here if you are playing in only one of the Friday Night Social Leagues - either the 5:30 league or the 7:15 & 9:00 league - and no other league (do not count Kawartha, Leads & Seconds and Sunday Recreational).
Sunday Recreational Tag League - check here if you are only playing in the Sunday Recreational Tag League (not including Kawartha, Leads and Seconds).
One (1) League - One regular league (do not count Kawartha, Leads & Seconds, and Sunday Rec)
Two (2) Leagues - Any two leagues (do not count Kawartha, Leads & Seconds, and Sunday Recreational)
Three (3) Leagues - check this box if you are registering in three (3) or more leagues. (do not count Kawartha, Leads & Seconds, and Sunday Recreational)
Youth Play in Adult Leagues - This option is for youth aged 13 - 20 who sign up for one or more regular adult leagues.
Snowbird 1 Leaguer- Choosing this option will allow you into 1 League (Kawartha, Leads and Seconds, and Sunday Recreational excepted) for a total of up to 3 calendar months, consecutively or non-consecutively. Snowbirds are still expected to fulfill 5 hours of Volunteer obligation.
Snowbird 2+ Leaguer - Choosing this option will allow you into up to three (3) Leagues (Kawartha, leads and Seconds, and Sunday Recreational excepted) for a total of up to 3 calendar months, consecutively or non-consecutively. Snowbirds are still expected to fulfill 5 hours of Volunteer obligation.
Locker Renewal - Check this box if you had a locker last season and want to renew for this season. The locker fee is added to your total fee. You must reserve by September 30 to guarantee your old locker.
New Locker Request - Check this box if you did not have a locker last season but want one for this season. Men please note there are only a few lockers available.
Course plus curling: Check this box to register for the Learn to Curl course and you have also registered above to curl in one or more leagues. There will be no fee for the course.

Curlers are encouraged to register early to ensure a spot in a league. After you have completed your online registration you must gistrations are not considered complete until the payment is received and has been deposited at the bank.

After receiving confirmation you may pay by mail to West Northumberland Curling Club, 206b Furnace Street, Cobourg, Ontario K9A 2G1 or drop your cheque into the secure mailbox at the club entrance (either outside the front door or on the office door inside the lobby). All cheques made payable to: West Northumberland Curling Club.
Please note that your total fee includes a Volunteer Fee of $80. This fee is refunded after you complete 10 hours of volunteer effort (5 hours for new members) in support of the club. For 2018/19 the $80 is included in the total fee and a separate cheque is not required as in years past.
N.B. Members presenting cheques which do not clear will be charged an additional $25 per cheque.
